Make it simple for your donors to find you. Create an easy-to-remember short link to your fundraising web page. Most riders insert their name in this field. For example, if you enter your name, your short link will look like this:
http://2012ctchallenge.kintera.org/yourname. This link can be sent to your friends and family to help them find your fundraising page. This is the only opportunity to create a short link. It cannot be changed or modified.
***YOUR FUNDRAISING COMMITMENT***The CT Challenge bike ride is a required fundraising event. Everyone who registers to ride has a required minimum amount to raise before September 27, 2013. On or after that date, any remaining balance of that commitment will be charged to the credit card used at the time of registration. Minimum required fundraising for Adults is either $500 (10 or 25 miles) or $750 (50, 75 or 100 miles) determined by the ride you select. Minimum required fundraising for children under 18 and fulltime students is either $250 (10 or 25 miles) or $375 (50, 75 or 100 miles) determined by the ride selected. Minimum required fundraising for all ROAD WARRIORS is $3,000 and the minimum for the Two Day Ride is $2,250.
TEAMS. There is no aggregate team fundraising. All team members are responsible for fulfilling their individual fundraising requirement.
CHILDREN. If a child is registered to ride, he/she has a personal fundraising requirement. There is no aggregate family fundraising. Cyclists under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. The accompanying adult does not have to register for the ride.
CANCELLATION POLICY – One-Day Ride: Registrants for the CT Challenge one-day ride on Saturday, July 27 may cancel their registration prior to July 1 and receive a refund of their registration fee and release from the balance of their fundraising commitment. After June 30, registrants who, for any reason, cancel or do not ride on July 27 forfeit their registration fee and are released from the balance of their fundraising commitment. After July 12, registrants who cancel or do not ride on July 27 forfeit their registration fee and are responsible for fulfilling their fundraising commitment. Any remaining balance of a fundraising commitment on 9/27/2013 will be charged to the credit card used at the time of registration. No donations will be refunded.
CANCELLATION POLICY – Two-Day Ride: Registrants for the CT Challenge two-day ride, July 26-July27, may cancel their registration prior to June 1 and receive a refund of their registration fee and release from the balance of their fundraising commitment. After May 31, registrants who, for any reason, cancel or do not ride on either or both days of their ride forfeit their registration fee and are responsible for fulfilling their fundraising commitment. Any remaining balance of a fundraising commitment on 9/27/2013 will be charged to the credit card used at the time of registration. No donations will be refunded. Cancellations of hotel reservations are subject to the terms and conditions set forth by the hotel.
CANCELLATION PROCESS: Cancellation requests must be made via email to info@ctchallenge.org. A cancellation is not final until an acknowledgment email is received from the CT Challenge.
AGREEMENT. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. YOUR CREDIT CARD OR DEBIT CARD WILL BE CHARGED ONLY FOR YOUR REGISTRATION FEES AT THE COMPLETION OF THIS RIDER REGISTRATION PROCESS.
I, the participant, parent or legal guardian if participant is under 18, intending to be legally bound, do hereby certify that I understand that through the rider registration process I am about to undertake, I am committing myself to raise a required minimum amount of money for the 2013 Connecticut Challenge in accordance with the personal fundraising requirements for the event (see details above). I authorize the organizers of the Connecticut Challenge to charge my credit card or debit card immediately for the registration fee I select and, on or after September 27, 2013, the balance, if any, of my fundraising commitment that remains unfulfilled.
Further, I, the participant, parent or legal guardian if participant is under 18, intending to be legally bound, do hereby certify that I and or the minor child are physically fit, and have not been informed otherwise by a physician. I acknowledge that I, individually, and as parent or legal guardian of the minor child, am aware of the risks inherent in biking (training, competition, recreation), including possible permanent disability or death, and agree to assume all of those risks. As a condition of my individual participation and or the participation of said minor child in Connecticut Challenge’s bike event, or any activities incident thereto, I hereby waive any and all rights to claims for loss or damages, caused by negligence, gross negligence and reckless conduct active or passive, including all claims for loss or damages caused by Connecticut Challenge, Inc., all organizations that will benefit from the proceeds of the event, the host facilities, corporate sponsors, local townships on route, the town of Westport, the Fairfield County Hunt Club, Interlaken Resort and the Connecticut Challenge’s volunteers and suppliers/vendors.
I consent that the photographs and/or video taken by photographers/film crews shall remain the property of the Connecticut Challenge and may be used for the purpose of advertising, publicity, in house publications and promotions.
All parents and legal guardians of minors agree to bike alongside said minor under the age of 14 for the duration of the ride. If parent or guardian is not participating in the event, they agree to have another qualified adult cycle alongside said minor for the duration of the bike ride. I, the participant, parent or legal guardian if participant is under 18, hereby agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Connecticut Challenge, Inc. and all Connecticut Challenge Officers, employees, volunteers and agents from and against all damages and expenses due from any and all claims, demands or causes of action resulting from participating in Connecticut Challenge events.
