Team Sotheby’s

We at William Pitt / Julia B. Fee Sotheby's International Realty are made up of more than 1,100 agents and employees from many different cultures, yet we all have one thing in common ...we have all been touched in some way by cancer either personally or through a family member or friend. Since our Southport location shares a building with CT Challenge, we have been educated with respect to the incredible work the Center has done with and for survivors. Team Sotheby's is comprised of our President and CEO Paul Bruenich, our COO Vin Socci, our Southport Manager Brad Kimmelman along with other colleagues and friends dedicated to helping CT Challenge do what they do best: support survivors to live the healthiest and happiest lives possible. We are proud to participate in this inspiring event and look forward to many more rides long into the future!

Team Tommy Fund

My Dad and I rode for the first time in 2010 in honor of my brother, Mike Smith. Mike was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Burkitt’s Lymphoma in 2008. After three months of treatment, he was cancer free! My family and I had cheered Mike on in the 2009 CT Challenge. That’s what inspired us to ride the next year. After our ride in 2010, we were further inspired to partner with the Tommy Fund at Yale New Haven Hospital. We ride to honor our loved ones who have battled the disease and who have become our heroes! In 2011, we created Team Tommy Fund and in our first year we raised over $3,000 for the Tommy Fund. In the three years that Team Tommy Fund has been a part of the CT Challenge, we have raised over $10,000 for the Tommy Fund which benefits the families in the pediatric oncology section of Yale New Haven Hospital. With this money, pediatric oncology patients and their families are given financial assistance and are provided with support groups. It also helps fund programs throughout the oncology center. This year, we hope to raise more than $8,000 for the Tommy Fund and grow our team of riders for the 2014 CT Challenge!

Team U.S. Trust

U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, is honored to participate in the 2014 CT Challenge Bike Ride. The 12-member U.S. Trust team includes employees from all three office locations in Fairfield County; Greenwich, Stamford, and Westport, as well as two employees from the Long Island, NY office. It is captained by David Smith, Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager for U.S. Trust.

U.S. Trust and Bank of America have deep ties to Fairfield County through philanthropy and employee volunteerism. Additionally, through Bank of America’s voluntary wellness program, Get Active!, employees are encouraged to come together with a shared goal of living healthier, more active lives. The combination of these two strong employee values as well as the very deep and personal way in which each employee has been touched by cancer, has made participating in the CT Challenge a great fit for the organization.

Team Yellow Jersey Cycle

We are a group of friends riding to celebrate the fight of Shan Brock who is determined to beat cancer! Her positive outlook on life creates a team spirit that is second to none.

This is our third year riding in the CT Challenge. As soon as we learned about it, we were determined to go the distance for the people in our lives like Shan who fight or have fought cancer. Our first year, we raised more than $37,000, making us the 9th highest fundraiser among 94 teams. Our team was not satisfied with that and we raised over $70,000 in 2015, making us 5th among 126 teams! With your help we can raise even more.

We hope you will join us by supporting our ride with a donation. Your gift will help cancer survivors of all ages reclaim their lives from cancer in so many ways - from summer camp for children to college for teenagers and confidence-building adventure trips for young adults to the groundbreaking Center for Survivorship and the exercise, nutrition and community-building programs incubated there and shared throughout the U.S. online and through experiential programs.

Please join Team Yellow Jersey Cycle-Greenwich—either as a donor or as a rider. Thank you so much. Together, we're changing and prolonging lives.
