For Cyclists Of All Abilities. Beginner Riders To Century Riders Can Experience New England:

Stunning views, great energy, and a premium experience.

Welcome to the 19th year of the CT Challenge. This iconic New England Grand Fondo Bike Festival ride explores the beauty of Connecticut, as bike riders travel along the edge of reservoirs and lakes, climbing from the coast into watershed and farmland. With five route distances for all levels of cyclists, you'll enjoy some of the best routes in Connecticut, fully supported with energized aid stations, a catered finish and outdoor music lineup.  NEW THIS YEAR: We have a sponsor who will fund $150 toward each 100 mile rider who signs up for our epic Century ride by June 1. (All 100 mile route riders who sign up this year will have this donation applied to their fundraising account on August 30, 2023. To take advantage of this offer, you must send us an e-mail to info@ctchallenge.org to let us know. )

The 19th year of the CT Challenge leads bikers from the coast to the hills of central Connecticut.

The Bike Routes

Ride along the coast, wind around resevoirs, farms, lakes (and hills)

You’ll ride your bike with the energy of 500-600 cyclists, but at your own pace. The CT Challenge is a Ride, not a race. Bike riders are corralled based on route distance, so the course is open for the longer distance riders in the front.

We’ve spent hundreds of hours perfecting each route. Each year we re-route around construction and obstacles, refining and adjusting the most beautiful routes in New England.

Part of the 7 mile section around Lake Waramoug, near the 50 mile aid station. Fast and empty, its a gorgeous section offered on the century route.
