CT Challenge 10-Mile Course
The 10-mile ride is for you if:
- …you are new to riding a bike or getting back on after many years
- …you are just beginning to get back in good physical condition after a long layoff or illness
- …you have only a short amount of time available to ride
Estimated time on the 10-mile course: 1.0 – 1.5 hours
CT Challenge 25-Mile Course
The 25-mile ride is for you if:
- …you do not consider yourself a “cyclist,” but want to participate
- …your physical conditioning is low and you will not have the opportunity to train extensively for your ride
- …you want to finish early and enjoy the full day’s festivities at the finish
Estimated time on the 25 mile course: 1.5 – 2.5 hours
CT Challenge 50-Mile Course
The 50-mile ride is for you if:
- …you have experience in road cycling as a physical exercise
- …you will have cycled 50 miles during your training or you can comfortably ride 25 miles in under 2.5 hours (10 mph avg. speed)
- …you are and have been actively engaged in regular physical exercise and are currently in good physical condition
CT Challenge 100-Mile Course
No ride can beat this 100-miler for its combination of challenge and beauty. It is New England’s most fully-supported century, and it will be memorable.
The 100-mile route takes cyclists through communities in Fairfield, Litchfield and New Haven counties where there will be rest stops waiting for you with bike mechanics and plenty of awesome food and biker snacks. Century riders will encounter multiple ascents and descents throughout their ride.
The 100-mile ride is for you if:
- …you are currently in excellent physical condition
- …you have the opportunity to train extensively for your ride
- …you have cycled 100 miles during your training or you can cycle 50 miles in under 4 hours
Estimated time on the 100-mile course: 6 to 9 hours
Bike course SAG support ends at 4:30pm. Riders still on the course at 4pm may choose to be picked up by support vehicles
